Hi, my name is Linda. I am a graphic designer and brand developer and studied visual design in Hanover, Germany. I have been living and working in the beautiful Auckland suburb of Titirangi since 2011.
With Lily's Family Trees I am following a passion my grandfather sparked many years ago.

My grandfather was a passionate ancestry researcher. He followed the lines of my family all the way back to the 15th century. And he did this before the internet was around. He wrote many letters, spent hours on the phone with archives and even planed the family holiday to places where he could go through wedding and funeral registrars.
Do you have an ancestry enthusiast in your family? How far back does your family tree go?
I do have a copy of our family tree. My sister and I are the last branch on this tree. However I have never hung it on the wall because the traditional style family tree just doesn’t match my aesthetics.
Now that I am a mother myself, I look at our family tree and really do want to have one to display in my home. And here it is, re-designed and beautiful featuring a special place in our home.

Tell me about the name
Lily was my family’s nickname for me when I was a child. And it is really only family and very few old childhood friends who call me Lily.
I pondered for a long time about the right name for my family trees. When my daughter Emilia came up with the idea to call it lily's family trees it was decided.
